So I said "whenever I see a cast iron elephant I think of John Boy (think the Munich 7). To which RPG replied over the roar of the zoo "why do castrated elephants make you think of John?" - ok, I guess you had to be there.
Last time we were in Munich, Matt took us on a tour of your old housing area. We saw the infamous elephant that John and his friends sawed the tip of the trunk off of. I didn't know he was such a hoodlum!
